I saw a pretty camera at wall mart. I wanted to by it to make a summer journal, but it was $19.98! So I am doing jobs for my parents every now and then to get money. Otherwise I am playing, or playing my violin. Today my dad said instead of a summer journal I could make a blog.
I spent all morning thinking of a name for my blog. Here are some of them: chocolate chucks, lookout B. Lowe!, and poem in my pocket. I knew poem in my pocket was perfect! Now I am writing in my blog. That is how I got my blog.

What a big girl you are! I can't believe you are a bloger now Bethany! I love your poem and I love that you named your blog Poem in my Pocket. You are such a wonderful niece, I can't wait to hear all about the things you are going to do this summer.
I love you so much, and miss you more than I can say!!
Aunt Maryann
Bethany! We both have blogs. I'm really excited to read yours this summer. I love the name and that poem.
What a great name for your blog. I love this poem. I am excited to keep up with you over the summer, you can tell us all of your adventures!
Bethany.
Thank you for sharing your blog! It was so fun to see you last weekend. I especially enjoyed our trip to Dairy Queen!
I love you,
Booma
Granpa here. I LOVE your new blog!!! I especially like that cute tree climbing lizard peering out through the leaves. We are looking forward to every new entry. Have a great summer.
This is the best blog I have ever seen in my entire whole life! I hope you get your camera soon.
Bethany, I'm happy that you love to write. I bet it is fun to see that other people are reading about what you have written.
Keep up the hard work to get that camera. Before you get one we might let you take a few pictures with ours.
Dad
Generally speaking if I see a 5 or 6 (sorry I can't remember)year old with a blog, I would think oh her mom is making one for her, oh how cute. But the fact that you're doing this is sooo cool. You're an amazing kid! And we love you.
Is that a digital camera Bethany? Or is it a camera that uses film? I was just curious. I like that it's pink, Pink has always been one of my favorite colors!
Samantha just had her last day of school yesterday. She's excited for summer too. We're excited that you might be able to come stay with us for a couple days if everything works out right! :)
Samantha also had her first baseball game today. She was pretty excited. She looked kind of nervous while she was playing and I met some fun new friends in the stands and when they heard me cheering for Sammy they started cheering too and so LOTs of people were yelling GO SAMMY! Samantha looked a little nervous about it but afterwards I asked her what she thought of her first game and she said it was super fantastic! I'm going to show her your blog tomorrow!
We love you!

Hey everybody,
I just wanted to tell you how much it has meant to Bethany to have you respond to what she ha written. She is a little obsessed with checking it, so we have a few rules: she can only check it before bed, and she can only post about once a week.
When she first decided to post, we spent about an hour setting up this blog and she spent another hour thinking about and writing the first post. (I think it will get a little quicker when she is used to the keyboard.) We taught her how to use spellcheck, but other than that, we didn't do any editing or suggesting, so what you see here is 100% hers. (Actually, it was very cute BEFORE the spellcheck, but we're trying to use this to teach her to write a little more clearly-- and have fun at the same time-- and spelling is the issue that we are most concerned about for getting her ready for 2nd grade.)
Jamie, yeah she wants a digital camera. They have those kid ones with 1.3 megapixels. She has been talking about one for about a month. She's saved a little money, but she's got a long way to go.
One more thing: yesterday we went on a hike. I'll let her tell you about it when she posts today, but the funny thing was, she kept saying, "This will make a great post for my blog!"
This is Curtis. I liked your poem that you picked. I also like your blog name, "Look out B. Lowe". I am thinking maybe I would like to do a blog, instead of a summer journal too. Great idea! Love, Curtis
P.S. Way to go!
